Michael, I don’t think I met you in person last night, but I think we are both on the same email list that had previously tried to set up SSC meetups in OC. So maybe we can coordinate together and have more success this time, the turnout last night seemed huge!
It was nice meeting you all in Irvine last night. I was the guy wearing the red dress shirt, the math and science tutor.
I intend on starting a regular rationalist Meetup at my house in Newport focused on short readings and applications of rationalists principles to problem solving in all domains from personal to social to technical.
I promise it’s much warmer and the seating is much more plush then the meeting last night.

Chanting, sacrificing goats, the occasional orgy. You know, socializing.
